Wake Up Call
I came across a video about American forms of government that made that put the definitions I provided into an eye-opening context. Enjoy the viewing!

Introduction
There are so many perspectives to consider when dealing with the concept of government. As I was putting this section together, I wanted to share the actual dictionary definition of common and uncommon government concepts to illustrate how far off course we have drifted as a society.
Anarchy: a theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principal mode of organized society.
Communism : a theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.
Conservative: disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.
Democracy: government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
Kleptocracy: a government or state in which those in power exploit national resources and steal; rule by a thief or thieves. A government characterized by rampant greed and corruption.
Liberal: favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
Oligarchy: a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.
Plutocracy: a government or state in which the wealthy class rules.
Politics: to deal with people in an opportunistic, manipulative, or devious way, for power or control.
Republic: a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.
Socialism: a theory or system of social reform which contemplates a complete reconstruction of society, with a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor.
Recognize any of these concepts in our current government?
